Job summary

Woodward Tahoe at Boreal and Soda Springs in the Sierra Nevada seeks a Rental Services Assistant Manager to lead the rental and demo shops, support staff development, and ensure top guest experiences with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.

You will help manage in a fast-paced environment, drive revenue growth, and uphold company values while delivering exceptional service and supporting operations 7 days a week during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising 10+ employees preferred.
• Microsoft Office and Office 365 proficiency.
• RTP/Intouch or equivalent rental POS experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to motivate, coach, develop, and lead team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Rental Services Manager with the overall operation and quality control of the rental and demo shops.
• Assist with hiring, training, developing, and overseeing Rental Services team members.
• Lead by example with honesty, integrity, and core values.
• Ensure policies, procedures, systems, processes, and service standards are followed.
• Support annual revenue center plans and strategies.
• Contribute to revenue growth through pricing, sales, and performance tracking.
• Manage daily operations for a department open 7 days a week during peak seasons.
• Sell, fulfill, and assist guests with rentals of ski, snowboard, mountain bike, and other gear.
• Step into sales or technical roles as needed.

The Rental Services Assistant Manager is a key member of the Boreal Ridge Corporation team and plays an integral role in the development and operation of the Rental Services department. This position supports the Rental Services Manager in overseeing the rental shop and demo shop, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional guest experiences, and a high level of team member performance. We’re looking for a hands-on, team-oriented leader who is passionate about action sports, team development, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is organized, innovative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while leading by example.

The position is expected to work 10 months of the year, with the specific schedule based on seasonal and operational needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Rental Services Manager with the overall operation and quality control of the rental and demo shops.
• Assist with hiring, training, developing, and overseeing Rental Services team members.
• Lead by example with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to the company’s core values.
• Ensure established policies, procedures, systems, processes, and service standards are followed.
• Support the development and implementation of annual revenue center plans and strategies.
• Contribute to revenue growth through pricing, sales, process improvement, and performance tracking.
• Assist with managing daily operations for a department that operates 7 days a week during peak seasons.
• Sell, fulfill, and assist guests with rentals of ski, snowboard, mountain bike, and other action sports equipment.
• Step into sales or technical roles within the shop when there is a staffing need or absence.

Basic Requirements:

• 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising 10+ employees preferred.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and potentially high-pressure environment.
• Ability to motivate, coach, develop, and lead team members.
• Strong business planning and measurement skills.
• Microsoft Office and Office 365 proficiency.
• RTP/Intouch or equivalent rental POS experience is a plus.

Physical Capabilities:

• This position requires both indoor and outdoor work.
• May require off-site travel, including travel between Boreal Ridge Corporation locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry 50 yards.
• Must be able to visually review written documents and observe coworkers on a regular basis.
