Qualifications

• High school diploma with vocational/technical training in construction.
• Five years of full-time exposure to all phases of construction processes.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates among consultants, contractors, and the Housing Authority through renovation and reconstruction processes.
• May prepare detailed specifications and estimates for projects.
• Researches and selects materials; directs and inspects work of tradespeople.
• Assists with developing specifications and budgets for projects.
• Coordinates work sessions with contractors and vendors to develop schedules.
• Participates in bid preparation, agenda, and bid evaluations.
• Inspects projects in progress and at completion for conformance.
• Prepares correspondence and reports on assigned projects.
• Examines plans and specs for compliance with codes and policy.
• Supervises construction inspector(s) as assigned.
