Job summary

BBI Construction Management is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on complex renovations in active and occupied facilities. The role requires proactive leadership, clear communication with stakeholders, and ownership from start to finish.

Qualifications include 5+ years in commercial PM, ability to read drawings and contracts, and OSHA certs with CM software proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing renovation projects in occupied or operational environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Healthcare, higher education, municipal, or institutional project experience preferred.
• OSHA certification and proficiency with construction management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and reporting.
• Coordinate and direct project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead project meetings, coordination meetings, and client communication.
• Manage subcontractor performance, sequencing, safety compliance, and quality expectations.
• Identify and resolve schedule, budget, and operational challenges early.
• Deliver projects safely and efficiently, in accordance with the contract documents and company standards.
• Oversee project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout document
• Keep work moving in occupied and operational facilities with minimal disruption.
