Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the renovation of a 19-story commercial tower in West Philadelphia. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex, large-scale building renovations while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with extensive experience in occupied or high-rise renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of the renovation project from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, contract compliance, and coordination of all trades.
  • Collaborate closely with the client, design team, and internal staff to resolve issues and keep the project moving efficiently.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, site visits, and progress reporting.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety programs, QA/QC standards, and local code compliance.
  • Lead and mentor project engineers and field personnel.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost control strategies.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience with commercial general contractors.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale multifamily renovation or high-rise projects ($20M+ preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and financial controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, interior fit-outs, and structural modifications typical of towers.
  • OSHA 30 certification and familiarity with Philadelphia construction regulations preferred.
