Job summary

Aggreko plc in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a Technician 3 Power to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products at customer sites and in shops. The role supports natural gas solutions at South Valley/Peru Ridge data center sites and involves hands-on work with generators, HVAC, and power equipment.

You will lead moderate job-site setups, mentor junior technicians, and emphasize safe practices in line with OSHA and EPA regulations. A valid driver’s license and HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma/GED.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and obtain & maintain necessary certifications required to operate any equipment as dictated by regulations.
• Be a well-rounded tech in multiple products; multi-skilled.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and execute moderate repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air compressors
• Troubleshoot extensive equipment failures at the shop or on customer locations, test and handle the repairs on your own or with another technician(s)
• Complete necessary paperwork timely and accurately which may include data entry and general use of relevant computer systems and software as directed.
• Lead moderate job site setups and mentor lower-level Technicians
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, actively practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
