Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks a detail-oriented trader-support analyst for the U.S. Renewable Natural Gas desk in the Houston area.

You will capture trades in Datahive, allocate and reconcile buys/sells, and communicate with counterparties to forecast volumes and ensure accurate PnL reporting. Responsibilities include monthly payment package preparation, system issue resolution with Operations, Risk, and Portfolio Manager, and collaboration across teams to maintain data integrity and timely risk

Qualifications

0-3 years of relevant work experience.
Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, math, business or related major is a plus, but not required.
Proficiency in Excel (and/or VBA) and Python.
Strong analytical skills and proactive attitude.
Comfort with large data sets and detail oriented.
Familiarity with essential trading concepts and commodities markets.

Responsibilities

Trade capture and entry to Datahive and Commercial Dashboard as reconciled.
Datahive allocation and matching of buys and sells per Portfolio Manager guidance.
Counterparty communication: solicit monthly forecasts, nominations, and actual volumes.
Align with operations to maintain intra-day accuracy of book positions and PnL.
Produce monthly Payment Packages with clear trade obligations.
Reconciliation support with Operations, Risk, and Portfolio Manager.
