Job summary

Burnett Specialists in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Project Manager to provide hands-on support for large-scale renewable energy construction programs. The role involves coordinating schedules, deliverables, risks, issues, contractor activities, and reporting to project leadership.

You will work with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, Finance, Legal, and vendors to ensure safe, on-time execution, manage change orders, and maintain organized project records.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project management within energy or major capital projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Strong scheduling, cost monitoring, risk tracking, change management, and project reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project-management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HSE actions and escalate safety concerns.
• Coordinate daily activities across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, Finance, Legal, and Vendors.
• Maintain trackers for actions, decisions, risks, issues, milestones, and deliverables.
• Assist with schedule management by reviewing contractor updates and critical-path activities.
• Support cost and forecast reviews and identify variances for leadership.
• Develop weekly and monthly status reports on progress and risks.
• Coordinate EPC contractor and vendor deliverables, meetings, and follow-up items.
• Assist with change orders, contractor claims, and related documentation by coordinating across teams.
• Ensure records are organized and current, including minutes, reports, and closeout docs.
