Job summary

Mcguire is seeking an associate attorney to join a high-performing team working on renewable energy matters, with a focus on financing and acquisitions, including development, construction, and tax credit monetization strategies.

You will support the development, financing, acquisition, and disposition of energy infrastructure projects, advise on tax equity financings, tax credit transfers, and joint ventures, and draft and negotiate project-level agreements for a diverse client base including

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership or eligibility for admission by waiver or examination.
• 1-8 years of experience in project finance, energy transactions, tax equity, and/or corporate M&A; transferable transactional experience encouraged.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performing team.
• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, the energy transition, and project finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structuring and negotiating tax equity financings, tax credit transfers, joint ventures, preferred equity investments, and other project-level capital arrangements.
• Support the development, construction, financing, acquisition, and disposition of energy infrastructure projects.
• Advise clients on tax credit monetization strategies for renewable energy and energy transition projects.
• Contribute to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and analyze transaction documents and conduct legal due diligence.
