Job summary

Viridian Group is seeking an Investments Associate to support project finance, M&A, and capital raising for its solar and battery storage portfolio. The role emphasizes financial modeling, underwriting, and execution across lender and investor interactions.

The successful candidate will work with senior management and internal teams to advance renewable energy investments and transactions in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or another analytical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, project finance, or energy.
• Strong financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation skills.
• Working knowledge of renewable energy markets, technologies, and regulatory environments.
• Understanding of project finance debt and tax equity structures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite solar and battery storage investment opportunities, evaluating economics, returns and investment risks.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF and tax equity structures.
• Conduct market research and analysis across the distributed generation solar and storage sector.
• Support structuring, negotiation, and execution of project debt and tax equity financings from term sheet to close.
• Prepare lender and investor materials and coordinate due diligence with capital providers.
• Engage with lenders, tax equity investors, and external advisors throughout financing processes.
• Support day-to-day execution of M&A and capital raising transactions with management teams.
