Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Energy & Utilities Analyst to support power system studies for fossil and renewable generation. You will help with planning, due diligence, cost/benefit analyses, and client-facing deliverables.

The role involves collaboration with project teams to analyze regulatory impacts, perform financial analyses, and prepare technical reports and presentations for utility clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in EE, business, finance, accounting or related field.
• Masters in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically on quantitative problems.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, interprets, and applies engineering, financial, and economic concepts to client projects.
• Assists with life-cycle cost analyses and financial evaluations.
• Supports power system planning, including power flow and reliability analyses.
• Prepares technical reports, presentations, and client materials.
• Complies with policies and standards.
