Job summary

Apex Clean Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Project Management Department in Charlottesville, VA. You will manage and coordinate technical issues across development, construction, and operations, interfacing with Development, Transmission, and Operations teams to ensure design delivery that meets Apex standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Three years minimum experience in electrical engineering design, especially substations and renewable energy.
• Experience with consulting engineering firms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage 3rd party engineers for substation, transmission line, and collection system designs.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for technical due diligence.
• Prepare proposals and evaluate consultant submissions for engineering work.
• Ensure technical concepts meet Apex standards across project lifecycle.
• Support design and engineering work with procurement and regional input.
