Job summary

Cinterra, based in Wilcox, PA, seeks an apprentice to support utility-scale solar projects and assist supervisors and electricians on day-to-day operations. You will enroll in a comprehensive four-year registered apprenticeship combining classroom learning with practical on-the-job training to prepare you for journey-worker certification.

An eager learner with good time management is needed to follow instructions, work in the elements, and contribute to safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work long and/or extended hours including weekends, with travel.
• Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications (preferred).
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
• Willing to endure working in the elements.
• Pass a background test and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and protect project materials and equipment; document shortages and damages.
• Safely utilize equipment assigned to the project facility.
• Assist supervisors in completing site logistics activities.
• Assist with electrical installations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Provide support to other divisions as needed.
• Communicate with customers professionally.
• Support safety as a core value throughout the project duration.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor.
• Handle special assignments as requested by leadership.
