Job summary

OPAL Fuels is seeking a Plant Operator for our Renewable Power Plant in Henrico, VA. The role oversees day-to-day operation of large gas engines and related equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and environmental compliance.

The operator monitors production data, performs preventive maintenance, maintains accurate logs, manages inventory, and coordinates with area managers to resolve issues while keeping facilities clean and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with diesel/reciprocating engines and related maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain large reciprocating gas engines and related equipment.
• Maintain detailed production records and equipment logs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs including oil changes, valve work, and overhauls.
• Ensure plant cleanliness and safety; manage inventory and parts.
• Respond to on-call issues and coordinate with area managers to resolve problems.
• Communicate clearly with managers and follow safety procedures.
