What we’re looking for:

Nexamp is seeking a Portfolio Services Manager to lead the Independent Engineer (IE) review process for Nexamp-developed solar and storage projects and portfolios. You will manage the IE contracts and coordinate internal resources to support the IE’s deliverables to Nexamp and its financing stakeholders. Deliverables, such as reports and certifications, require interdisciplinary task management and the organization of overlapping data inputs. Key project management skills of interest are identifying and managing critical path, navigating scope of work boundaries, and building effective relationships internally and externally.

This work includes managing significant amounts of data, and coordination of contracts, design documents, PVsyst reports, site visits and construction monitoring, commissioning tests, and performance analysis of operating plants. This will be accomplished through technical expertise, schedule management, thorough understanding of financial implications, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and clear communication with third-party reviewers.

We are accepting candidates in our Boston, MA and Chicago, IL, headquarters where you will be hybrid. You will report to the Director, Renewable Portfolio Services.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the due-diligence process undertaken by external third-party engineering firms for Nexamp financing opportunities on a portfolio or project basis.
  • Coordinate communications between Independent Engineer and Nexamp internal team (engineering, finance, procurement, operations, etc.). Act as a liaison between Nexamp subject matter leads and IE technical leads. Interpret various parties’ topical responses to provide effective communication and timely resolution.
  • Facilitate the exchange of project information to applicable parties in support of due-diligence reviews. Manage deliverables of independent engineers (reports, certificates, etc.) in tandem with the applicable financing schedule.
  • Monitor and prepare for critical project milestones (e.g. Mechanical Completion, Substantial Completion) and coordinate necessary third-party certifications required for financing milestones.
  • Monitor critical project milestones (Mechanical Completion, Permission to Operate, Substantial Completion) and coordinate necessary third-party certifications required for financing.
  • Lead the organization of necessary project documents and design reviews.
  • Support the management team in the IE due diligence process and ongoing development of risk management practices.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector with 1+ years of experience in contract management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative subjects: Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Independent engineering experience with technical and financial due diligence background preferred.
  • Solar PV design, development, construction, or asset management experience preferred.
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please apply.
