DESRI (D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is seeking an Analyst or Associate for its Investment & Acquisitions team in New York.

You will build financial models, evaluate investments, and assist with acquisitions, financings, and opportunistic sales across a diverse renewable energy portfolio. The role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of investments, from underwriting to financing and operations, with collaboration across DESRI’s teams and external advisors.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree; 0–2 years experience for Analyst level; more for Associate level.
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
• Interest in investment analysis, transactions, project finance, or renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate project economics and returns.
• Support due diligence, coordinate third-party deliverables and review findings.
• Analyze investment opportunities, risks, upside, and value creation.
• Assist in evaluating acquisitions, financings, and opportunistic sales.
• Support negotiation and execution of debt and tax equity financings.
• Prepare investment materials and presentations for senior management.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors throughout transaction processes.
• Support projects through development, construction, financing, and operations as needed.
