Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, and Commissioning team. The role focuses on designing, configuring, and commissioning SCADA systems for power, solar, and related infrastructure projects.

You will lead project teams, collaborate with clients, and mentor site personnel while ensuring alignment with codes and standards. Travel up to 50% across U.S. projects is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in SCADA design, development or commissioning.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating with clients.
• Knowledge of local/regional codes, NERC/ISO/Cybersecurity practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure networks for HMIs, PLCs, and SCADA equipment; review architecture and specs.
• Coordinate with site teams, owners, and vendors to install SCADA systems and fiber optics.
• Oversee commissioning, prefunctional checks, and validation of SCADA functionality.
