McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join our Supervisory Control, Data Acquisition, and Commissioning team in Chandler, AZ. You will lead design reviews, coordinate installation with vendors and site teams, and oversee commissioning activities across utility-scale projects.

The role emphasizes Ignition SCADA, practical engineering leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel up to 50% is required to support U.S. projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture with 2+ years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of SCADA construction principles preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in managing SCADA development and commissioning.
• Experience leading project teams and managing relationships with external entities.
• Excellent organizational, team management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with multiple SCADA platforms, with emphasis on Ignition.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, architectural, and structural construction documents.
• Knowledge of local/regional codes including NERC/ISO and cybersecurity requirements.
• Strong communication and ability to train partners.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across U.S. projects.

Responsibilities

• Design support: oversee design/config of networks and communications for HMIs, PLCs and other SCADA equipment; review design and network architecture.
• Project Management: coordinate with site team, owner and vendor for installation of SCADA system equipment and related assets.
• Commissioning: oversee prefunctional checks, validate functionality of SCADA, test power plant controller and SCADA HMI; verify field measurements.
