Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Sr Engineer II, Plant Controls to drive design, configuration, and commissioning of SCADA systems for solar, wind and battery projects. You will gather project requirements, select SCADA concepts, and coordinate with third-party providers to deliver field-ready solutions.

The role interfaces with Operations and Development, leading technical teams and ensuring alignment with SCADA standards. Travel up to 20% is involved and prior renewable experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in control systems and SCADA platforms.
• Strong networking design knowledge (fiber/ethernet, VLANs).
• Experience documenting exhibits, scopes of work and narratives.
• Experience commissioning networking and plant controls.

Responsibilities

• Leads SCADA design, configuration, and commissioning across projects.
• Coordinates with PMs and SMEs to meet requirements and timelines.
• Reviews contracts; helps define standards and vendor documentation.
• Gathers technical requirements from grid codes and contracts.
• Develops and modifies project exhibits and scope of works.
• Oversees control vendors and integration work; ensures operational fit.
