Job summary

Motive Companies in California is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide administrative and organizational support to Project Managers on solar, storage, and EV charging installation projects.

You will help manage documentation, prepare reports, track milestones, and assist with budgets and procurement while learning project management tools under mentorship, with opportunities to grow into a Project Manager role.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of administrative, coordination, or project support experience preferred.
• Prior experience in Commercial Rooftop Solar, Canopy/Carport Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or EV Charging Infrastructure is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support to Project Managers on active renewable energy installation projects.
• Manage and maintain project documentation including contracts, permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Prepare, format, and distribute project reports, meeting minutes, status updates, and client-facing communications.
• Track project schedules, milestones, and action items; follow up with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Support project budget tracking by assisting with purchase order coordination, invoice processing, and expenditure monitoring with Project Managers and accounting.
• Coordinate logistics for project activities including scheduling meetings, site visits, and communications with subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain organized digital filing systems and ensure document control standards are followed across all projects.
• Learn and apply project management methodologies and tools under mentorship toward full project ownership.
