Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Permit Project Manager to lead the permitting of renewable energy facilities across multiple jurisdictions in Massachusetts. You will work with AHJs to obtain required permits, manage timelines and coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams.

You will interpret building codes, zoning and environmental requirements, prepare applications, track progress and communicate risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in permitting in a corporate environment.
• Experience with renewable energy construction permitting.
• Strong understanding of building codes and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction across jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with AHJs to facilitate permitting.
• Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and review permit applications and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, development and project management teams.
• Track and report permit status and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
• Coordinate permit activity timelines in alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Identify and assess permit risks, develop mitigation strategies and report to project team.
• Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and related communications.
• Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies when necessary.
• Keep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements.
