Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Permitting Intern to join its multidisciplinary environmental team supporting siting and permitting for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery projects.

The role offers exposure to NEPA, state siting statutes, and local zoning requirements, with opportunities to assist in permit applications and environmental compliance documentation. The successful candidate will learn to work with biologists, engineers, and regulatory staff, and

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Environmental Science/Studies/Policy or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and agencies.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary environment and attend site visits.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparing federal, state, and local permit applications for wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
• Conduct desktop research using GIS and regulatory databases.
• Support drafting of environmental documents (BA, CR reports, EIS).
• Track permitting schedules, agency comments, and deadlines across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with internal staff and external agencies to compile permit materials.
• Travel to project sites to support field data collection and site visits.
