Job summary

Geronimo Power in Bloomington, MN invites an Origination Intern for Summer 2027 to join the Origination team and gain hands‑on experience across renewable energy, energy storage, and data parks. You will work with commercial leaders to identify and advance opportunities, support PPAs and strategic transactions, and help shape market expansion initiatives.

This internship offers exposure to renewable energy development, customer acquisition, commercial strategy, and AI‑driven business solutions,

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
• Self‑motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support active business development and commercialization opportunities with analyses and materials.
• Conduct market, customer, utility, and competitive research to identify opportunities.
• Assist with economic evaluation of PPAs, build‑transfer transactions, and RFPs.
• Support utility procurement, data center development, and market initiatives.
• Help expand use of AI by developing prompts and workflows, and automating tasks.
• Maintain trackers and CRM data for opportunities, RFPs, and customers.
• Prepare meeting materials and coordinate follow‑ups for meetings.
• Assist with due diligence and cross‑functional coordination across teams.
• Prepare management reports and strategic analyses for decision‑making.
