Geronimo Power is seeking a Market Analytics Intern to join the Summer 2027 program in Bloomington, MN. The role supports market forecasting, modeling, data management, and energy storage analytics to inform renewable energy development and investments.

You will work with experienced market analysts and cross-functional teams, gaining hands-on experience across development, investments, strategy, and origination.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Support long-term power market forecasting and analytics across organized electricity markets.
• Assist with power market modeling, forecasting tools, and analytical process improvements.
• Support data engineering, automation, visualization, and reporting initiatives.
• Assist with battery energy storage valuation and optimization analyses.
• Gather, validate, and analyze market data from internal and external sources.
• Research and monitor market fundamentals, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
• Prepare market intelligence reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal stakeholders.
• Support scenario analysis and assessment of market opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with Development, Investments, Strategy, and Origination teams for actionable insights.
• Document analytical methodologies and identify data quality improvements.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
