Job summary

AES Clean Energy is seeking an Origination Analyst to support the growth of our Western region renewable energy portfolio. In this role, you will contribute to analysis, research, and transaction execution activities that support Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bilateral opportunities, and strategic customer engagements related to wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
Exposure to U.S. energy markets, renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or related industries.
Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, storage).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Support sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of long-term power sale agreements for renewable energy and storage projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Development, Finance, Engineering) to deliver origination transactions.
Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to inform business development and strategy.
Prepare and maintain internal analyses, presentations, and RFP summaries.
Develop customer proposals and presentation materials for solicitations and bilateral opportunities.
Monitor industry developments and policy changes that may affect project opportunities.
Assist in standardizing and improving commercial and transaction processes across the business.
Assist in evaluating commercial opportunities from initial engagement to transaction execution.
