Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Sr Analyst M&A to support deal origination, diligence, valuation and negotiation for US utility-scale wind, solar and battery projects. You will work with AES Clean Energy teams and external consultants, coordinating across finance, engineering, and legal to drive transactions from start to finish.

The role requires 2–3 years in renewable energy M&A, strong Excel modeling skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical or renewable energy subject area.
• 2–3 years of renewable energy M&A and development experience (wind, solar and/or BESS).
• Strong analytical experience and intellectual curiosity.
• Proficiency in Excel financial modeling and MS Word/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence including development, commercial, technical, financial, and legal evaluation and data validation.
• Manage cross-functional teams for due diligence and M&A processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
• Support acquisition lifecycle documentation and post-closing transition to construction/operations.
