Job summary

The AES Corporation in Houston is seeking an Origination Analyst to support renewable energy transactions across the Western region, including wind, solar, and energy storage projects. You will analyze,Research, and execute RFPs, bilateral opportunities, and strategic customer engagements.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Origination, you will work with cross-functional teams to advance clean energy solutions and develop customer proposals for competitive solicitations and partnerships.

Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint).
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of long-term power sale agreements for renewable energy and storage projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support origination transactions.
Conduct market, customer, and competitive research for business development and decision-making.
Prepare and maintain internal analyses, presentations, transaction materials, and RFP summaries.
Develop customer proposals and presentation materials for competitive and bilateral opportunities.
Monitor industry developments, market trends, policy changes, and opportunities impacting renewables.
Support standardization and continuous improvement of commercial and transaction processes.
Assist in evaluating opportunities and pushing projects from engagement to execution.
