My client, a growing renewable energy platform, is seeking an Associate, Capital Markets to support the origination, structuring, and execution of debt and tax equity financings for a growing portfolio of solar, storage and digital infrastructure projects. This role works closely with senior capital markets, finance, legal, and development teams to help secure capital that supports project construction and long-term operations. This is a confidential search — company details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
Support the preparation of financing materials, including offering memoranda, lender/investor presentations, and financial models
Assist in structuring debt (construction and term loans, tax equity, back-leverage) and equity financings for solar and storage projects
Conduct due diligence and coordinate diligence requests with lenders, tax equity investors, and legal counsel
Build and maintain complex project finance models (cash flows, sculpting, sizing, sensitivities)
Track market trends in project finance, tax equity, and renewable energy capital markets
Support relationship management with banks, institutional investors, and tax equity partners
Assist in negotiating term sheets and financing documents alongside legal and senior deal teams
Prepare internal investment committee materials and board presentations
Monitor portfolio compliance with financing covenants and reporting requirements
2–4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, or a related capital markets role
Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or power/utilities preferred
Strong financial modeling skills (Excel proficiency required; experience with project finance models a plus)
Familiarity with tax equity structures (partnership flips, sale-leasebacks) is a plus
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and written/verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus
Ability to manage multiple deals/deadlines in a fast-paced environment
