Job summary

DESRI seeks talented, intellectually curious law students for its Summer 2027 internship program. The 10-week internship runs June through August and supports DESRI’s Legal team on development, financing, acquisition, construction, operation, and management of renewable energy projects.

Interns conduct legal research, review and help prepare transaction documentation, assist with due diligence, and collaborate across DESRI while learning from mentors and project managers, with an end-of-summer

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a JD program with strong academic or professional record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate in small cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Interest in transactional law, renewable energy, project finance, or related areas.
• Prior renewable energy exposure helpful but not required; interest in learning is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support Legal team on development, acquisition, financing, construction, and operation of renewable energy assets.
• Conduct legal research and assist with reviewing and preparing transaction documentation.
• Assist with due diligence and legal issues across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with DESRI teams to develop practical solutions for renewables investments.
