Job summary

DESRI seeks talented, intellectually curious law students for a Summer 2027 internship (10 weeks, June–August). The Legal Internship supports the Legal team across development, financing, acquisition, construction, and operation of DESRI’s renewable energy portfolio.

Interns will gain exposure to transactional law and renewable energy projects, work with mentors, and present their work at the end of the summer. JD interns are paid $10,000 per month with a $5,000 housing stipend.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a JD program with strong academic/professional record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate in small, cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support DESRI’s Legal team on development, financing, acquisition, construction, and operation of renewable energy assets.
• Conduct legal research, review and help prepare transaction and project documentation.
• Assist with due diligence and legal issues arising from DESRI’s portfolio across development, construction, and operation.
• Collaborate with legal and business colleagues to develop practical solutions for renewable energy investments.
