Fuse Energy is seeking a Renewable Energy Infrastructure Development Lead to drive utility-scale solar, BESS, and associated grid projects. You will oversee early-stage development, permitting, and delivery readiness, coordinating with stakeholders to accelerate project timelines while ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead solar and BESS projects from early-stage opportunity through Ready-to-Build and energisation

• Assess sites from technical, planning, grid, and infrastructure perspectives

• Develop grid connection and power export strategies with AEMO, DNSPs, and network service providers

• Support planning, permitting, and stakeholder engagement processes

• Identify and mitigate technical and development risks across generation and storage assets

• Ensure projects are deliverable, scalable, and aligned with construction and commissioning requirements

• Experience developing utility-scale solar, BESS, or large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects

• Strong technical understanding of solar PV and battery storage systems, including inverter architecture, storage integration, and grid interconnection, with the ability to evaluate engineering decisions and challenge technical assumptions

• Strong understanding of Australian planning frameworks and grid connection processes, including AEMO registration, DNSP negotiations, and relevant state-level approvals

• Experience taking projects from early-stage development through design, permitting, and delivery readiness

• Highly analytical, self-directed, and comfortable with significant ownership
