Job summary

ABB is seeking a Service Technician for the Southern region of the United States. You will provide remote and on-site technical support for ABB equipment including PV inverters, BESS, PCS, and MV systems while coordinating with contractors and technicians.

You will plan and manage technician assignments, ensure proper tools and training, and maintain clear communication with customers to ensure expectations are met and issues resolved.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 5+ years in Maintenance Service (renewables preferred).
• Knowledge of communication networks, cooling systems, power electronics, MV equipment, and electrical diagrams.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote/local technical support to customers and technicians to resolve incidents in ABB's equipment portfolio.
• Coordinate with contractors and technicians; maintain daily communications.
• Plan, direct and manage scheduling of Service Technician activities from assignment to assignment.
• Ensure technicians have needed tools and supplies to perform jobs.
• Coordinate training and equipment, manage inventory of supplies, tools and PPE.
• Maintain communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and address issues.
