Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled service professional in the Western US region to provide remote/local technical support for ABB equipment including PV inverters, BESS, PCS, and MV systems. You will coordinate with contractors, schedule technician activities, and ensure documentation and readiness of tools and PPE.

The role reports to the Service Manager and requires 5+ years in maintenance service, with willingness to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

HS Diploma and 5+ years' experience in the Maintenance Service sector, including Renewable Energy Projects or other energy related operations and maintenance industries preferred.
Knowledge of electrical diagrams, MV equipment, electrical switchgear, and EH&S regulations.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and work independently.

Responsibilities

Provide remote/local technical support to resolve incidents for ABB equipment portfolio (PV Inverters, BESS, PCS, MV Equipment, etc.).
Coordinate with contractors and technicians to schedule service activities and ensure staffing.
Maintain daily communication with technicians and ensure proper documentation and records.
Plan, direct and manage the scheduling of the Service Technician activities from assignment to assignment, ensuring tools and PPE are available.
Coordinate training and equipment; manage inventory of supplies and PPE.
Maintain strong communication with customers to ensure satisfaction with completed services.
