Job summary

DLR Group, an integrated design firm, is hiring an Electrical Engineer for its Renewable Energy division in Phoenix, AZ. You will participate in the design process for electrical systems from schematics to construction administration, delivering detailed drawings and calculations to support renewable energy projects that aim to reduce carbon footprint and promote clean energy.

The role involves developing design objectives and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across projects, including

Qualifications

ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
0-2+ years' experience in electrical design for building systems on complex projects.
Familiarity with BIM workflows (Autodesk Revit MEP) is preferred.
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam is preferred.
Interest in renewable energy design including PV, BESS, EV charging, solar canopies, microgrids, and specialty energy systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
Coordinate electrical design requirements with other disciplines and project stakeholders of renewable energy projects.
