Job summary

DLR Group in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design process of electrical systems for our Renewable Energy division, from schematics through construction administration.

You will develop electrical designs, perform design calculations, coordinate with other disciplines, and help design systems for PV, BESS, EV charging and microgrids to reduce carbon footprint.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 0–2+ years of electrical designer experience on complex projects.
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (preferred).
• Experience with BIM (Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.
• Interest in renewable energy design including PV, BESS, EV charging, solar canopies, microgrids and energy systems.
• Lighting and/or low voltage design experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with other disciplines and project stakeholders.
