Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks an Electrical Intern to join its renewable energy design team in Wisconsin. You will support the design of collection systems, interconnection facilities, and BESS infrastructure for wind, solar, and storage projects while applying coursework to real projects.

You'll learn IEEE, NESC, NEC standards and assist in creating one-line diagrams, layouts, equipment specs, and interconnection studies under senior engineers, with opportunities for site visits.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering program, preferably Electrical Engineering.
• Verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to attend site visits and work outdoors occasionally.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Assist in training with engineers to build proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, SKM/ETAP and other design tools.
• Support preparation of electrical one-line diagrams, layouts, and grounding plans for renewable projects.
• Help develop equipment specifications, BOMs, and construction documents for interconnection and BESS facilities.
• Assist with load flow, short circuit, and cable sizing calculations under guidance of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams across projects to ensure progress and communication.
• Apply IEEE, NESC, NEC and other standards under supervision of licensed engineers.
