Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Development Services to support planning and development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. You’ll work with project managers, engineers, utilities, and clients to keep development on track from early stages to readiness.

The role emphasizes coordination of schedules, budgets, permitting, and due diligence while building expertise in solar PV, energy storage, and wind development across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, construction management, planning, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, renewable energy, engineering, consulting, infrastructure, or a related field.
• Interest in utility-scale renewable energy development and building expertise.
• Experience coordinating deliverables, schedules, or multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of utility-scale projects from early development through readiness.
• Assist with schedules, plans, budgets, deliverables, and milestones.
• Coordinate with clients, landowners, agencies, utilities, and consultants.
• Support permitting, site control, interconnection, due diligence, and environmental review.
• Track actions, decisions, risks, deadlines, and deliverables across workstreams.
• Assist with coordinating scopes of work for third-party consultants and vendors.
• Review project docs and identify issues or information gaps for follow-up.
• Participate in meetings and maintain clear cross-team communication.
• Prepare updates, reports, and presentations for clients and leadership.
• Support transition of projects from development to construction readiness.
