Job summary

Sunrock Distributed Generation, Inc. is seeking a Controller to own audit, JV entity management, payroll, and all accounting/reporting. You’ll collaborate with finance, asset management, sales, and marketing to support planning and forecasting. Report to the CEO with growth into a leadership role.

The position is ideally hybrid with onsite NYC days, but US-wide remote work is possible for the right candidate. Strong experience in renewable finance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• CPA credential required or equivalent.
• 6+ years in renewable energy and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements per US GAAP.
• Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and insurance activities.
• Oversee payroll, treasury, and cash flow forecasting.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting documentation.
• Provide financial analysis to executives for planning and projects.
