Job summary

The candidate should have 4–7+ years as a commercial, M&A, or finance attorney, a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, and active bar admission with ability to obtain Tennessee. Renewable energy deal experience is preferred, and the role offers broad exposure to growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commercial, M&A/corporate, or finance lawyer.
• Experience drafting and negotiating high-value agreements independently.
• Renewable energy project finance experience (debt and tax credit) strongly preferred.
• J.D. degree and bar admission in at least one state with ability to obtain Tennessee bar.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support corporate and project finance, M&A, and commercial transactions, including due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and deal flow management.
• Draft, negotiate, and administer key agreements including PPAs, REC purchases, asset and stock purchase agreements, and consulting contracts.
• Supervise outside counsel where engaged and provide practical legal advice to business teams.
• Serve as trusted legal advisor to Business Development, Accounting, and Project Finance teams.
