Job summary

Farnsworth Group seeks a Renewable Energy Civil Engineer to work on solar, wind, and BESS projects. You will contribute across site layout, grading, stormwater, hydrologic modeling, and design phases from due diligence to final construction drawings.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• 5-10 years of civil engineering experience.
• 2+ years of renewable energy project experience (solar, BESS, wind).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.
• Design experience on wind/solar/BESS projects preferred.
• Ability to travel and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering technical support and design for renewable energy projects from conceptual through final design and construction.
• Prepare, develop, and review civil engineering design and construction plans and related documents.
• Provide project management working directly with the client's project manager.
• Manage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies.
• Conduct project field observation and condition assessments.
• Prepare project proposals.
• Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and consultants.
• Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects.
