Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join our Renewable Energy Team. You will create site plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD and related tools, collaborating with a multidisciplinary group to ensure accuracy and adherence to our standards. This is an on-site, non-remote role supporting energy projects.

You will work with diverse teams, maintain drawing databases, and help enforce Kimley-Horn’s drafting standards while contributing to meaningful renewable energy designs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related drafting software.
• Experience drafting for infrastructure, civil engineering, or renewable energy projects preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed site plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software for renewable energy projects.
• Design and produce comprehensive sets of plans, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Implement and manage drafting standards set by Kimley-Horn.
• Maintain and organize the drawing database for efficient access and updates.
• Perform routine checks to verify accuracy and quality of drafted designs.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn practices and align work with project goals.
