Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Manager, Renewable Development to lead utility-scale solar and wind projects across the United States. You will manage development activities from early to late stages, secure site control, obtain permits, coordinate landowners, and align projects with the company strategy while working from our Chicago headquarters on a hybrid schedule.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in renewables, a BS/BA, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel ~25%.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related field; 6+ years in renewables; valid driver's license; travel ~25%
• MBA or engineering background is a plus; strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage wind and/or solar projects within the United States
• Lead development activities in early, mid, and late stages of the project
• Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives
• Identify development prospects and perform market assessments and site reconnaissance
• Secure site control via leases, easements, and landowner agreements
• Coordinate landowner communication efforts
• Lead permits at local, state, and federal levels
• Represent Invenergy with customers, landowners, officials and stakeholders
• Initiate and manage interconnection activities
• Oversee project design and budgeting/scheduling
• Manage tasks per budgets and schedules with internal/external support
