Job summary

Accrescent Group seeks an experienced Rendering Superintendent to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a rendering plant, including raw material receiving and timely loading for customers. This role demands hands‑on leadership, strong supervision, and a focus on safety and compliance in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operation.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience, 3–5 years in rendering, and a PCQI certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
• 3–5 years of rendering experience.
• Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise daily activities and execute initiatives to meet operational, environmental, and safety goals.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Train, retain, develop, direct, and support rendering employees.
• Oversee continuous cross‑training programs to build employee competencies and strengthen team capabilities.
• Complete daily operational reports and monitor completed reports for accuracy, taking corrective action as necessary.
• Oversee raw material receiving and ensure timely loading of finished products for customers.
• Support process optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain safety, environmental, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Support inventory management, preventative maintenance programs, and rendering equipment operations.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, transportation, and live production teams.
• Work independently during assigned off‑shifts and maintain flexibility to supervise other shifts as needed.
• Support employee development, retention, and engagement across production teams.
