Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Rendering Generalist on C-Shift (Thu, Fri, and alternating Sun; 6 am–6 pm) in Sedalia, Missouri.

The role operates, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs production equipment while following Tyson policies, ensuring safe operations and continuous production. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down machinery, using SAP for work orders and daily records, and communicating readings to the right staff.

Starting Pay $21.35 - $30.30/hr

C-Shift Every Thursday and Friday, Every other Sunday, Friday and Saturday 6 am - 6 pm

This position is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Rendering General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software, and other software systems, to make work orders and/or fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be willing to read, write, and communicate effectively to communicate machine readings to proper personnel. Must be willing to lift 60 lbs. climb ladders and work at heights up to and exceeding 30' daily and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach. Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp, or hot, humid environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Must be will be willing to complete all required training for the job and be willing to participate in job rotation. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Must have a valid MO driver's license and no DWI/DUI within the past 12 months.

Requirements for RVI Rendering Generalist: Basic maintenance experience or mechanical skills, knowledge, or work history listed on the application or resume.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Rehire Criteria: Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days. Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
