Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Renal unit at Fort Worth. The role supports nurses, assists with admissions, transfers and discharges, and helps maintain a safe patient environment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, CLIAFE awareness, and a THR-approved PCT training path; EMT or nursing students with strong PCT skills may qualify. BCLS and CPI training required, with strong teamwork and communication skills expected.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• CLIAFE compliance with foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT or THR approved program required at hire.
• EMT or equivalent training required at hire.
• Nursing student or EMT with demonstrated PCT skills may continue in role.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data; supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement and adheres to safety goals.
