Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Emergency department at Texas Health Fort Worth. The role requires full-time night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) totaling 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements.

A high school diploma is required, along with PCT/EMT-related training and BCLS certification. The PCT supports care delivery, collects patient data, assists with admissions/transfers, and collaborates with nursing staff while maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT or THR approved program. Not required to maintain certification after hire.
• EMT - EMT-B or equivalent; Upon hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement, adheres to safety goals, and advocates for patients.
