Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle is seeking a Transplant Coordinator RN to oversee all aspects of renal and pancreas transplants, guiding patients from referral through evaluation, inpatient stay, and back to the referring physician.

You will coordinate tests, work with multidisciplinary teams, educate recipients and living donors, and manage pre- and post-donation activities, with a focus on patient safety and smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• Manage the transplant journey from referral through evaluation, inpatient stay, and post-transplant transition.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and multidisciplinary care for renal/pancreas transplants.
• Educate recipients, families, and living donors on the donation and recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre- and post-donation activities and donor management.
• Conduct inpatient rounds and post-operative assessments.
• Triage patient concerns to ensure long-term health and safety post-transplant.
• Act as liaison between patients, referring physicians, and dialysis units.
• Support education programs and patient/family outreach.
