Job summary

MAC.BID in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Removal Floater to support the on-site auction pickup process. This full-time hourly role reports to the Removal Team Lead and involves assisting customers, staging items, and ensuring smooth check-in and checkout during pickups.

You will greet customers, verify items, coordinate with team lifts, and follow posted directions to maintain safety and efficiency. Strong organization, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are essential.

REMOVAL FLOATER

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Removal Floater assists in all the stages of customer pick-up. The entire removal team provides every winning bidder with exemplary service. This position reports to the Removal Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Know how auction items are categorized on shelves
• Greet and assist customers in finding their items
• Make customers glad they have won an item, to encourage them to continue bidding
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
• Scan customers in and out for item pick-ups

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday; Required Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10 AM - 6:30 PM & Tuesday/Thursday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM , 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• Must be highly organized
• Must be detail-oriented
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be customer-focused
