Job summary

MAC.BID in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Facility Floater to support all warehouse tasks within a fast-paced operation. This full-time, hourly role reports to the Facility Team Lead and helps with every department’s operations.

Responsibilities include pallet sorting, cleaning, unloading trailers, collecting cardboard, and other duties as assigned. On-site availability, the ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and endurance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work on-site with varying schedules (Mon-Sat)
• Able to lift 25 lb alone and 50 lb with a team
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and follow written directions

• Empty garbage and manage dumpster per vendor criteria
• Collect and bale cardboard

Job description

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Facility Floater assists with every job within the department to ensure smooth operations. This position reports to the Facility Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clear/gather, inventory, and sort pallets
• Clean warehouse and office spaces using a mop, broom, and vacuum
• Empty garbage and fill the dumpster according to vendor criteria
• Collect and bale cardboard
• Meet live trailers at the dock to unload quickly, avoiding retention fees
• Other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and GM
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
