Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a part-time Workplace Investigator - Contractor to support internal employment investigations on a six-month, remote basis. The role is approximately 25 hours per week and pays $80–$85 per hour through a staffing partner.

The investigator will handle harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and Code of Conduct matters, drafting legally sound reports and collaborating with Employment Counsel and Employee Relations teams. This is a remote, contract position.

Qualifications

  • Mid-level experience conducting workplace investigations, acquired as an attorney or HR/Compliance investigator.
  • Experience in a fast-paced tech environment is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Investigation Management: Manage complex workplace cases from intake to final report.
  • Report Drafting & Documentation: Produce clear, concise, legally defensible investigation reports.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Senior Investigator, Employment Counsel, and Employee Relations teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Interviewing: Conduct objective interviews and build rapport in sensitive scenarios.
  • Case Execution & Flexibility: Pivot strategy based on new evidence or shifting business needs.
