Job summary

HR Anew is seeking an EEO and Workplace Investigator to join as a remote independent contractor. The role involves handling 3–5 cases per month with professional remote interview processes and strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities include reviewing complaints, developing plans, interviewing witnesses, drafting records of investigation, and delivering fact-based reports while upholding deadlines and HR Anew standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of the required 32-hour EEOC investigator training.
• Completion of the required annual 8-hour EEOC investigator refresher training.
• Federal experience conducting or reviewing investigations.
• Experience conducting or reviewing EE/employee relations/workplace misconduct investigations.
• Experience preparing affidavits, investigative summaries, and records of investigation.
• Strong interviewing, fact-finding, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain impartial and evaluate conflicting information objectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong professional judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proactive with written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe Pro, video conferencing platforms, and secure document systems.

Responsibilities

• Review complaints, policies, and supporting documentation.
• Develop investigation plans and identify witnesses and evidence.
• Conduct professional, impartial interviews.
• Prepare interview summaries, affidavits, declarations, and records of investigation.
• Assess evidence, identify inconsistencies requiring further inquiry.
• Maintain organized, confidential investigation files.
• Prepare clear, fact-based investigative reports and records of investigation.
• Meet client deadlines and quality standards.
• Communicate progress, risks, and delays to program managers.
• Protect personal and sensitive information.
